Build Backpacks For Brighter Futures

The Great Big Backpack Build is Orlando's ultimate giveback project for participants to stuff backpacks with supplies, and help guarantee thousands of students will begin next school year excited and prepared to learn.

With your help, local teachers can outfit their students with brand new backpacks filled with essential school supplies to safely call their own, at no cost.

*Each individual registration of $100 to participate to build backpacks with supplies at A Gift For Teaching in June typically funds four additional backpacks with supplies; however, from April 15 – May 10, generous matching funders are DOUBLING the impact of each registration to fund eight backpacks with supplies!

Want to help, but don't wish to physically participate in the build? We'll build the backpacks for you! Simply select "Virtual Participant: Fund Backpack Build" under "Apply My Donation To" in the form above. On the day of the backpack build, sit back and relax at home knowing you've helped spread smiles and student success in our community.

Want to register a team to participate? The more the merrier! Calculate the number of participants x $100 and enter the amount in the "Choose your own amount" box in the form above. For example, 5 participants x $100 = $500 to register, which will help fund 40 backpacks with supplies when matched by generous funders.

*Please be advised a "Team Captain" is not required to register. Simply input "N/A" in the field to continue.

**Participants must be 14 years of age or older. Those 14-17 years of age must be accompanied by their own parent/guardian. Parent/guardian must be present and is responsible for minors at all times as there may be moving equipment/machinery during the build at A Gift For Teaching.
